1st Day of School

Lucas started Mother's Day Out on Tuesday at Woodmont Christian Church and loved it. He is in a classroom with 6 to 12 month old babies (he is only 5 months but made the cut off by 1 week). When I dropped him off on Tuesday, he smiled so big and when I picked him up he was having the best time with his new classmates. Here are a few pictures of his first day!!!

2nd Beach trip of the summer

Lucas and I are at the beach for the week with my friend allie (from oklahoma). We are having a great time and Lucas is just loving the water. Our friend Niki is heading down today so we will have a great time catching up with her. Here are a few pictures.

Lucas's 4 month Stats

Lucas went for his 4 month visit today!! Here are his stats...

Weight= 15 pounds 3 oz (52 percentile)
Height= 26 inches (82 percentile)

Dr. L thinks Lucas is doing great and he gave us the ok to start rice cereal and then baby food with Lucas.....HURRAY!!

Long time...no blogging!

Life has been extremely crazy in the last couple of weeks and I haven't made blogging a priority. So what is new in our life these days?? Well, I was planning to return to work on the 19th but made a last minute decision to stay at home with sweet Lucas. Financially this probably wasn't the best idea but I know God will provide. I am amazed at how everything just worked out perfect and so thrilled to be staying at home with Lucas. I have always dreamed of being a stay at home mom and I can honestly say it is the best job in the whole world.

Lucas has soo much personality these days and he is into everything. He has started flipping over onto his stomach and loves trying to stand up holding my hands. He is extremely vocal and babbles all day long. He puts everything he can get his hands on in his mouth and could possibly be teething. He turned 4 months last week so we should have the stats from his 4 month visit tomorrow.

Words can't describe the love that we have for Lucas. He has brought so much joy into our lives and we are absolutely amazed at how God blessed us with such an incredible child.

Last Weekend....just a little late!

Last weekend we made a quick day trip to birmingham for my niece, Kaylee's birthday. We left first thing Saturday morning and returned home after the birthday party. The birthday party took place at this cute kitchen in Vestavia and all the little girls made homemade pizza, cupcakes, and icecream. It was great seeing family and we look forward to seeing them again soon.

Happy 3 months!!!!!

Lucas turned 3 months yesterday! He is such a big boy these days and has sooo much personality. He smiles constantly and has even started laughing out loud. We havent been to the dr. since his 2 month visit but I think he over 15 pounds by now since he was 13 pounds at his 2 month visit. He is also sleeping through the night...hurray!!!!! He goes down at 8pm and sleeps till 8 am. We typically feed him at 10pm and 6:30 am but he sleeps completely through the night. I have posted a few pictures of his new favorite things.

Father's Day Weekend

We had a busy Father's Day weekend with lots of activities. Friday night we went to my friend Aubrey's house for a fiesta party to celebrate her birthday. We left Lucas with his first ever non-family babysitter, my friend Adrienne. Adriennce will be keeping Lucas a couple of days a week when I go back to work so it was great for her to hang with the little guy. On Saturday afternoon, Luke kept Lucas while I went to volunteer at Mercy Ministries. They had a family movie night on Saturday evening that I helped with. It was soo much fun and Lucas even came by to say hey with daddy. On Sunday, we relaxed at home all morning and then went to the pool with Aunt B and Uncle Birdie that afternoon. We finished the weekend with dinner at Garcias with my parents who just return from a 2 week trip in italy.

We have been spending alot of time at the neighborhood pool. Lucas loves the water and loves taking naps in the shade. He is obsessed with being outside. We usually stay out for about an hour each day.

Baby Dedication

On May 16, 2010 sweet Lucas took part in the baby dedication service at Brentwood Baptist Church. It was an amazing time to spend with close friends and family. We are so blessed to be part of such a wonderful church. Luke and I both grew up in the Baptist church and both took part in the baby dedication service. It is so much fun to share in this experience with Lucas. Lucas even wore Luke's gown during the service which is soo special to us.

Lucas's First Beach Trip

We visited Luke's family in Birmingham before heading down to Destin, FL for the week. We had a great time seeing his family. We headed to the beach late Sunday night while Lucas was asleep. On Wednesday, my sister and her husband came to stay with us till end of the week. We had the best time and Lucas loved the water. Can't wait to go back.

Nursery Pics

While we were in Utah, my mom and sister worked really hard designing and creating Lucas's entire nursery. I can't tell you how excited I was when I walked in. My sister came up with all the ideas for the nursery and my mom made the bedding. Can you believe they finished the room in one week???

My First Blog Post

I have been thinking about starting a blog for awhile now and finally decided it was time. So many exciting things have gone on since Luke and I married each other on November 17, 2007. Five short months after our wedding, we decided to move to Nashville to be closer to my family. Luke and I both started new jobs and bought our first house together. Once we were settled in Nashville, we decided it was time to grow our family. After several discussions about adoption, we decided we would adopt our first child. Three short weeks after we were approved to adopt, we welcomed Lucas Patrick Lamphron into our home. I was in the delivery room when sweet Lucas was born. We stayed in Utah for a week and then brought Lucas home to Nashville. We are soo crazy about our sweet little boy and can't wait to watch him grow up.
